On July 7th, 2020, scholars from SIIS attended a video conference hosted by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in China. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao and H.E. Mr. Javid Ahmad Qaem, Ambassador of Afghanistan to China exchanged their views on the peace process of Afghanistan, China-Afghanistan relations and economic cooperation, counterterrorism, and the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Wu Chunsi, Dr. Zhang Pei, Dr. Zhao Long, Dr. Liu Zongyi, Dr. Jin Liangxiang and Dr. Li Hongmei participated in the discussion.
