On June 2nd, 2020, President Chen Dongxiao met with Mr. Sean Stein, the U.S. consul-general in Shanghai, at his residence. The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the China-U.S. relationship and on how to expand subnational economic and trade links between Shanghai and American states and cities. Dr. Zhang Pei, deputy director of the department international exchanges, and Mr. Yang Li, a research fellow at the Center for Maritime and Polar Studies of SIIS also joined the meeting.
