On October 19, 2018, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with Ms. Teresa Whitfield, Director of the Department of Political Affairs (DPA) and Mediation Division of the UN. The two sides exchanged views on China’s participation in the UN peace-keeping action, China’s contribution to the UN conflict prevention, and the research report on peace and development issued by the UN and the World Bank. Dr. Mao Ruipeng, research fellow of the Institute for Global Governance Studies, Dr. Zhou Shixin, research fellow of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, and Dr. Xue Lei of the Institute for World Economic Studies attended the meeting.
