On March 8, 2017, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with a delegation of the Japan Institute of International Affairs led by Dr. Seiichiro Takagi, senior fellow of JIIA. The delegation was joined by Dr. Fumiaki KUBO, Professor of University of Tokyo, Dr. Toshihiro NAKAYAMA, Professor of Keio University, Dr. Satoru MORI, Professor of Hosei University, Dr. Kazuhiro MAESHIMA, Professor of Sophia University and Mr. Shinya KADOZAKI, Research fellow of JIIA. The two sides had a discussion on the U.S. domestic politics and foreign policy under Trump administration. SIIS research fellows from the Center for American Studies and Asia-Pacific Studies attended the meeting.
