On February 24, 2017, a delegation of former US Senators visited SIIS and met with Prof. Yang Jiemian , Chairman of the Council of SIIS Academic Affairs, Dr. Wu Chunsi, Director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Institute for Taiwan Hong Kong & Macao Studies, and Mr. Yang Li, research fellow of the Center for Maritime and Polar Studies. The two sides exchanged views on Sino-US relations.
