On Feb.9, 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Bradley D. Hitchcock and Major Evan W. McKinney from the U.S. Embassy in China visited SIIS. They had a meeting with Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong, and Macao Studies and Prof. Wu Chunsi, director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies on China-US relations, Taiwan Question, North Korea nuclear issue and “One Belt and One Road” Initiative etc.
