On Jan. 23, 2017, Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council attended the inauguration ceremony of the Economic Research Institute of Central and Eastern Europe. Prof. Yang delivered a keynote speech on the status quo and the future development of China-Central and Eastern Europe cooperation. Dr. Long Jing, deputy director of SIIS Center for European Studies also participated in the event.

Co-founded by the China-Central and Eastern Europe Investment Cooperation Fund and CEIBS, the Economic Research Institute of Central and Eastern Europe is aimed at providing intellectual support for investment of Chinese entrepreneurs in Central and Eastern Europe.
