On August 15, 2016, a group of scholars from Taiwan visited SIIS including Prof. Wei Ai from National Chengchi University, Vice President of National Policy Foundation Mr. Sun Yangming and Administrative Director of Taipei Forum Mr. Hua Chih Hao. They had a discussion with Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council, Prof. Yan Anlin, SIIS Vice President and Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies on Chinese Mainland’s policy toward Taiwan and the role of the U.S. in the cross-strait relations etc.
