On June 1, 2016, Mr. Kazuyuki Katayama, Consul-General of Japan in Shanghai and his colleagues visited SIIS. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of Academic Council hosted a meeting which was joined by Ms. Li Fangxia, Executive Director for the Department of Research Management & International Exchanges, Prof. Cai Liang and Prof. Chen Youjun from the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies. The two sides had a discussion on advancing constructive interactions between China and Japan, the G7 Summit in Ise Shima, the G20 Hangzhou Summit and perspective on the U.S. presidential election etc.
