Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, Shanghai People"s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries(SPAFFC) and Consulate General of India in Shanghai co-held a seminar entitled “China-India: New Momentum for Strategic Partnership” in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi. SIIS President Yang Jiemian, Executive Vice President Wang Xiaoshu of SPAFFC, Consul General Riva Ganguly Das delivered important speeches on the seminar. A documentary in commemoration of Gandhi set out the seminar, during which officials, scholars and enterprisers discussed Gandhi’s concept of Non-violent non-cooperation movement, the China-India cultural communications and their bilateral relations including economic cooperation.
