March 14, Mr. Andrew Scobell, Political Scientist of Rand Corporation, visited SIIS. Vice President Chen Dongxiao met with Mr. Scobell, and had in-depth discussions on the issue of China"s foreign policy in Central Asia. Professor Zhang Yao of Institute for International Strategic Studies and Dr. Shao Yuqun of Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies joined the meeting.
