Nowadays, as globalization evolves and global governance becomes an urgent task, a group of emerging powers becomes an important factor affecting the transformation of international system. How to understand the role of emerging powers in the transformation of international system? Shanghai Institutes for International Studies hosted a seminar of “Emerging Powers and Transformation of International System” on January 22. Experts and scholars from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peking University, China Academy of Social Sciences, China University of Petroleum, Fudan University, and Shanghai International Studies University discussed this issue.
